6G, Ready for the Future?
By Shreya Bansal
The world is changing day by day. These days’ people are emerging more into technology and innovation. But it’s hard to think of a technology that has more strongly shaped 21st-century living.
Now we came to know about the latest technology which is hottest topic discussion among geeks that is -the fifth generation of mobile standards or 5G, it is being implemented in selected locations around the world. With an enhancement of the fifth generation raises an obvious question that is what factors will drive the development of the sixth generation of mobile technology? Like how will 6G differ from 5G, what kind of possibilities would be possible with 6G which is not possible with 5G?
The world has barely started using 5G, the latest generation of wireless connectivity, but China is already looking ahead 6G. By any criteria, 5G is a significant advance on the previous 4G standards.
The first 5G networks already offer download speeds up to 600 Megabits/s and have the potential to get significant faster. By contrast, 4G generally operates at up to 28 Megabits/s.
6G will be a sixth sense experience for humans and machines. A strong bridge which will finally bond together biology and Artificial Intelligence. Artificial intelligence will be the main driver of mobile technology and the 6G will be the enabling force behind an entirely new generation of applications shaping the communication networks of the future. 6G will enable rapidly collaboration on wide scale between networks and intelligent agents solving complex problems and challenges on the fly where massive connectivity, large data volumes and ultra-low-latency will be essential.
Artificial intelligent agents are clearly destined to play an important role in our future. “To harness the true power of such agents, collaborative AI is the key,” say Stoica and Abreu. “And by nature of the mobile society of the 21st century, it is clear that this collaboration can only be achieved via wireless communications.”
That’s an interesting vision of the future.
